How to get to Mactan Island?

Travel to Mactan Cebu

If you’re planning to visit Mactan Cebu, here are some tips and travel guidelines that will help you in the new normal traveling requirements.

Mactan Cebu allows domestic travelers to enter the City of Lapu-Lapu and Municipality of Cordova. You are not required to present travel documents and RT-PCR tests. As long as you are able to pass the entry points and don’t exhibit symptoms, you’re good to go!

Ferry

If you opt to travel by ferry, there are ferry operators you can choose from to book your travel to Mactan Cebu. You can book your ferry travel to 2Go, Oceanjet, and Weesam Express. However, none of these vessels will take you directly to Mactan.

So if you’re going to travel by ferry, you will be dropped off at Cebu and you will need to travel inland to Mactan.

Airplane

The most convenient way to travel to Mactan Cebu is by plane since it is connected to 27 domestic flights. Another good thing about traveling by plane is that Airlines such as Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, and AirAsia offer flights to the islands from the major cities in Luzon and Mindanao.

Bus

Cebu

MyBus Cebu is public transportation that regularly offers travel from Talisay City to Mactan Airport. MyBus trips start at 6 AM until 1:20 PM, every 20 minutes.
