How to get to Moalboal?

Travel to Moalboal

Moalboal is situated just around the Cebu southern-western tip. Cebu is one of the nation's travel destinations and transport hubs, with several direct flights, coming from international destinations such as China, Korea, Singapore, and the capital city Manila.

For this reason, Moalboal is not hard to reach, and the small town should be part of your itinerary. All of the notable airlines in the country, specifically Cebu Pacific Air, Philippine Airlines, and AirAsia, have flights to Cebu each day. It will be the main jump-off going to Moalboal, and you have several land transport choices.

Taxi

Mactan Cebu International Airport

From the airport or anywhere in Cebu City, catch a cab to Cebu South Bus Terminal. You may also take MyBus, which operates in Mactan Cebu International Airport, to SM City Cebu from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Jeepney

When you are in SM City Cebu, you take a jeepney to Bulacao, Labangon, or Pardo and ask your driver to drop you off at Caltex Gas Station situated in front of Cebu South Bus Terminal. Thus, it will be less expensive than taking a cab.

Bus

In Cebu South Bus Terminal, catch a Ceres Bus that travels to Bato through Barili and disembarks at the bus stop or Moalboal City Hall. Ensure that you take the route as there are buses going to Bato through Oslob that don`t pass in Moalboal. Travel time may take 2.5 up to 3 hours depending on the traffic conditions and weather.

Van

You may also take vans from One Citilink Terminal bound to Moalboal, situated a few meters from the South Bus Terminal. Vans run faster and take only around 2 hours of travel time.

Taxi

Cebu City

If you are looking for better comfort and have the proper budget, the easiest way to get to Moalboal from Cebu City airport is by taking a cab. It runs with meters, but cab drivers offer packages that you can split with four people.

When you arrive in Moalboal, take a tricycle going to the place you want to stay. However, most tourists visit Panagsama beach as they have several accommodation choices and things to do and see.

Ferry

Dumaguete is an island near Cebu and can also be the starting point for Cebu and, finally, Moalboal. Originating from downtown Dumaguete, take a tricycle or multicab going to Sibulan Port.

Walk going to Sibulan Ferry Terminal and take a pump boat going to Bato Santander, Cebu. In the Port of Bato, take a bus going to Cebu through Barili and get off at the town of Moalboal. The travel time might take 2 hours.
