How to get to Baler?

Travel to Baler

If you want to take a break from the city of Manila and head up to beautiful Baler, it takes about 5 to 6 hours. Here is how to get to Baler through public transportation.

Bus

Manila

From Manila going to Baler, you must go to the Cubao Terminal where Genesis Transport Service, the sole bus company that drives directly from Manila to Baler.

You can choose two types of bus service to get to Baler. Both types work on a schedule:

Joy Bus - an executive luxury bus complete with Wi-Fi, bus stewards, blankets, pillows, snacks, and a morning kit. It travels up to 5 hours. However, you must book in advance. It has buses that leave every hour.

Regular air-con bus - travels 6 to 7 hours but without the need for advance booking. It is also relatively cheaper than taking the Joy Bus. Buses leave every two hours.

As an alternative, you can go to Cabanatuan City to get to Baler. This option is mostly for those who come from Northern Luzon. Taking buses, jeepneys, or private vans is an option to get to Dingalan, which takes about two hours. Then, you can get to Baler in 4 hours.

Private vehicle

Take the North Luzon Expressway from Balintawak. Then proceed to the SCTEX exit found in La Paz, Tarlac. Remain on the highway until Cabanatuan City, Nueva City. From there, drive on the Nueva Ecija-Aurora highway until you get to the border. Drive through Maria Aurora and San Luis, then you’re finally at Baler within 5 to 6 hours.
